"Since the beginning of 2022, our charity, WCD Young Carers has been so fortunate to work with the amazing people at Wrexham Sounds and a number of our young people have benefitted from a number of exciting opportunities such as singing lessons, learning the piano and drums as well as trying out the mixing decks. It has been so rewarding to see the confidence and self-belief in young people develop on their journey. Seeing the positive impact that just a few sessions has had on the young people has reinforced a desire to continue working collaboratively with Wrexham Sounds in the future.
In the words of one of the young carers that attended the singing sessions ‘my dreams have come true’. We cannot thank Wrexham Sounds enough for the opportunities offered to our Young Carers. We’d not hesitate in recommending to others to give it a go."

"My son Ralphie has been having electric guitar lessons since the new year, his tutor Dan is a friendly, patient, encouraging and brilliant teacher.
Ralphie has learnt so much and his confidence has grown immensely, he was unsure and had self doubt and belief that he could play, now he plays confidently, mastering the basic skills and feels able and has a much more positive belief in himself."

"What a great team of talented musical tutors so glad I discovered this place. I’ve recommended so many others that have children with additional needs. My son has sensory issues that means he wears ear defenders he wouldn’t walk into a noisy room or take part in assemblies. What Charlotte and Rachel have done is normalise sounds and helped him cope so much better doing it slowly.
My other son loves his drumming sessions with Elin. She’s an amazing tutor. He has learnt so much and was playing songs confidently after a matter of months. Would highly recommend anyone to go there we have been so pleased."

"Our son has been having drum sessions with Elin since June 2024, after initially starting through a referral with Young Carers.
The sessions have been great, a good mix of formal learning and time to express himself. This has led to an opportunity to perform publicly with some other attendees, something we were very grateful for. Lots of good stuff happening here, if you try it, you’ll like it."

"The Wrexham Sounds Workshop was amazing! Pupils were able to express themselves easily.
There was something for everyone. All pupils participated and enjoyed it thoroughly."

"Our son has autism and attends guitar lessons with Matt and he loves his lessons.
He struggles with his fine motor skills and taking in information, but Matt has been very patient and understanding. I would recommend Wrexham Sounds to everyone."
